Job Description

Our downtown boutique hotel is looking for an experienced breakfast cook to run the morning breakfast service and buffet. The ideal candidate must be punctual and able to prepare breakfast items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. This position must be able to work quickly and efficiently to meet service time expectations during breakfast hours. This role requires setting up and breaking down the buffet, as well as monitoring inventory levels and quality. This breakfast cook must ensure that proper food storage and temperature control are maintained and replenish items when needed. • Recognize and adhere to quality requirements for meats, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products, as well as correct storage and waste management
• Maintain work stations, including all countertops, utensils, equipment, and refrigeration in a clean and sanitary condition per health and safety regulations
• Stock ingredients needed for food items by washing, cutting, dicing, or slicing them as needed
• Prepare meals in accordance with the instructions printed on food order tickets or delivered verbally by staff

Qualifications:

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
• We prefer some experience working in the fast food or quick service restaurant industry
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers
• Ability to understand and comply with kitchen sanitation, safety and equipment usage, and food storage regulations
