Job Description

ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER

SUM Design Studio + architecture is looking to add an Architectural Project Manager to our growing team. Successful candidates must have 8+ years of experience within an architecture or design firm and hold a 4-year professional degree.

Applicants must be detail-oriented, devoted to quality output and possess the organizational skills to prioritize tasks and handle multiple deadlines. Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and project management software required.

Job Type: Full-Time

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience with all phases of the architectural process, including master planning, code analysis, permitting, design development + review, drafting, project documentation and construction administration

  • Strong knowledge of design, building code, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building systems, materials, specifications and construction techniques

  • Experience estimating project costs, formulating scope and developing client proposals

  • Proven track record of successfully planning, scheduling, staffing and overseeing projects to ensure they’re completed on time and within budget

  • Experience coordinating and managing project teams, including internal staff, engineers, consultants and contractors

  • Excellent communication + relationship management skills while acting as main point of contact for clients

  • Strong ability to multi-task, prioritize project tasks and produce high quality work while managing various deadlines

  • Outstanding problem-solving skills and strong ability to manage changes in project scope and schedule

  • Technical proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office and Smartsheet
