This position is a part-time Teaching Assistant position.
Dates: 09/02/2025 - 12/14/2025
Course: Enterprise Route & Switch
This course focuses on advanced router and switch configuration for use in large and enterprise networks. Topics include dynamic routing, network security and access control, network address translation, wide area network implementations, virtualization, management, design, troubleshooting and automation.
Implementation and troubleshooting of advanced routing technologies and services including Layer 3 VPN, Infrastructure security, and infrastructure services.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include equipping students with the required skill set, facilitating classroom discussions, assessing student performance and preparing students to be successful leaders in their chosen profession. Other main responsibilities include the following:
Assists instruction with in-class activities, including proctoring examinations.
Observes students’ performance, and records relevant data to aid instructor in assessing progress
Coordinates study groups outside of class to tutor students on class material
May facilitate additional ad hoc lectures as a refresher to classroom formal lecture
Assists with grading assignments
Proctors occasional make up examinations/assignments
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
Qualifications:
Completed Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution on date of application submission.
Must have sufficient courses in Information Technology or Network Admin/Engineering
