About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Survey Party Chief to join our team on a major roadway and bridge project in Sarasota, FL. This position will be instrumental in providing construction layout and surveying support for heavy civil highway projects, including bridges, interchanges, and related infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will bring a solid background in construction layout, familiarity with Trimble GPS/Total Stations, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Experience with drones and photographic imagery is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead survey crew operations for heavy civil and roadway construction projects.
• Perform precise construction layout for highways, bridges, and related structures.
• Operate and manage Trimble Total Stations, GPS, and related survey equipment.
• Utilize drones for survey imagery and project documentation.
• Ensure accuracy and quality in data collection and fieldwork.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to keep work on schedule.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Survey Party Chief or Crew Chief.
• Strong background in construction layout (highway/bridge experience preferred but not required).
• Proficiency with Trimble Total Stations and GPS equipment.
• Familiarity with drone surveying/imagery workflows a plus.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work long shifts (typically 9–10 hours/day, Monday–Friday, with occasional night or weekend work).
